Volleyball Recap: Wauwatosa West Comes Up Short

Wauwatosa West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Germantown Warhawks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-16.

Josie Schwake paced Wauwatosa West's offense, picking up ten kills. Schwake got some help from Cora Eisenmann and her 13 assists. Eisenmann was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Wauwatosa West's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Germantown, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-10.

After both having extra time off, Wauwatosa West and Wauwatosa East will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Germantown, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Brookfield Central at 7:00 p.m.
