Basketball Game Preview: Westview Warriors vs. Central Noble Cougars

Westview is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Central Noble is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Westview Warriors will host the Central Noble Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Westview strolled past Garrett with points to spare, taking the game 49-33.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Janissa Lehman, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Lehman continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bre Cory, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 15 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Noble). They walked away with a 57-44 win over Lakewood Park Christian on Tuesday.

Westview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Central Noble, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Westview might still be hurting after the 56-31 loss they got from Central Noble in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Central Noble's Abby Pliett, who posted 19 points and seven rebounds.
