Baseball Recap: Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs vs. Hillside Hornets

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Willow Spring, Southeast Raleigh was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hillside Hornets and snuck past 10-8. The high-scoring effort was just what Southeast Raleigh needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Nicholas Teel tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Greyson Dove, who scored three runs and stole six bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadon Jones, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances.

On Hillside's side, Jeremiah Rankins led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Noah Salcedo was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
