Basketball Game Preview: Archbishop Carroll Lions vs. James Madison Warhawks

The Archbishop Carroll Lions and the James Madison Warhawks will round out the year against one another at at 11:20 a.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses dating back to last season for Archbishop Carroll and three for James Madison.

Archbishop Carroll is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 56-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Friendship Collegiate Academy on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' District of Columbia basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Knights are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, James Madison took a blow against Mt. Zion Prep Academy on Friday, falling 71-33. The game marked the Warhawks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

James Madison's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Archbishop Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
