Softball Game Preview: Millville Thunderbolts vs. St. Joseph Wildcats

For the second straight game, Millville will face off against St. Joseph. The Thunderbolts will head out to take on the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Millville beat St. Joseph 7-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Thunderbolts.

Miley Cross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 12 hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Isabella Musey was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaslene Negron, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Millville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.

Millville now has a winning record of 9-8. As for St. Joseph, they moved to 14-4 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
