McClintock was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Kellis on Friday. The Chargers blew past the Cougars 73-44. The Chargers have beaten the Cougars the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Kyler Frye was nothing short of spectacular: he shot 62% from the field to rack up 21 points along with eight assists and three steals. The last time his shooting accuracy was this high was back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josh McManaway, who went 5-for-9 en route to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

The win got McClintock back to even at 1-1.

McClintock has already played their next contest, a 67-53 loss against Chandler on the 24th. As for Kellis, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ironwood at 7:00 p.m. on December 1. The game will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
