Volleyball Recap: Springer Red Devils vs. Mosquero Pirates

Springer had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Mosquero Pirates on Thursday.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Springer got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 16-25, 15-4.

Brenna Duran paced Springer's offense, picking up 18 kills. Duran got some help from Abigail Eppler and her 33 assists. Eppler was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.
