Basketball Game Preview: Tri-Township Tigers vs. Crothersville Tigers

The Tri-Township Tigers will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Crothersville Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Township will be strutting in after a victory while Crothersville will be coming in after a loss.

Tri-Township will head into Saturday's matchup on the come-up: they were handed a 40-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Oregon-Davis out 64-61. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted against the Bobcats since December 19, 2015.

It was another big night for Dillon Stewart, who dropped a double-double on 45 points and 16 boards. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chayse Boomfield, who posted two points in addition to six steals, five assists, and five boards.

Meanwhile, Crothersville didn't have quite enough to beat Shawe Memorial on Friday and fell 90-88. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Hilltoppers: they've now lost four in a row.

Crothersville now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Tri-Township, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.
