Volleyball Recap: Skyview Starts off Right with Win over Mountain View

Skyview took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mountain View Mavericks. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Mavericks: they've now won seven in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Skyview took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-10, 25-12.

Skyview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lizzy Bower led the charge by getting eight digs and four assists.

Mountain View is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Skyview is headed away from home for the first time to take on Timberline at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain View, they will head out to challenge Columbia at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
