Volleyball Recap: Cardinal Mooney Takes a Loss

Cardinal Mooney lost against John F. Kennedy Catholic back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cardinals came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0.

While Cardinal Mooney was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-19, 25-14.

John F. Kennedy Catholic found their leader in sophomore Gabrielle Consiglio, who had 32 assists and nine digs.

Cardinal Mooney's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Cardinal Mooney wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against McDonald on the 21st. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, they will venture away from home to square off against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
