Recap: Boulder Panthers vs. Lakewood Tigers
The Boulder Panthers took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They snuck past Lakewood with a 53-47 victory. Boulder's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Among those leading the charge was Megan Matthews, who scored 20 points. Remi Kingdom was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Despite the defeat, Lakewood had strong showings from Dyani Parrish, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 steals, and Iben Last, who scored 12 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds.
Boulder's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Boulder will be playing in front of their home fans against Greeley West at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lakewood, they will square off against Adams City at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Adams City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Monday.
