Conneaut Area dropped down to 6-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were dealt  a  47-7 defeat at the hands of the Sharon Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 413th, while the Tigers are ranked 203rd).
 Mason Stone threw for 148 yards  while completing 76.9% of his passes.   Wyatt Luke was his top target, picking up 89 receiving yards.  On the ground,  Chance Meader rushed for 33 yards.
As for Sharon, the  victory was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four games by 29  points or more  so far this season.
 Sharon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Ethan Engelmore, who threw for 173 yards and two  touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. That's the most  passing yards  Engelmore has posted since back in October of 2024. Sharon's leading receiver  Rakeem Hughes was  Engelmore's top target yet again, picking up 112 receiving yards and one  TD.
 Conneaut Area has already played their next matchup,  a  24-8  loss against Grove City on the 17th. As for Sharon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  42-21  victory against Titusville on the 16th.
