Basketball Recap: Atlantic Coast Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Atlantic Coast had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 71-48 margin over the Menendez Falcons. For the Stingrays, this counts as revenge for the 57-53 win the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Joel Barnaby had an outrageously good game as he went 7-for-13 to rack up 18 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tarik Auguste, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Menendez dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Atlantic Coast will welcome San Jose Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Menendez, they will take on Matanzas at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
