Volleyball Recap: Northview Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northview can now relate to. They fell just short of the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their 21-game winning streak.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Karsyn Buck, who had 21 kills and 14 digs. Buck is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella May, who had 15 kills and nine digs.

Finley Dakin was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 digs and six assists. That's the most assists she has posted since back in September.

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 28-6. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-12 record this season.

Northview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tri-West Hendricks, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Jasper on the 1st.
