Basketball Game Preview: Tucker Tigers vs. Southwest DeKalb Panthers + Official Tickets

The Tucker Tigers will square off against the Southwest DeKalb Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tucker knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Southwest DeKalb likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Tucker strolled past North Springs with points to spare, taking the game 77-60. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tucker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Adarian Johnson, who shot 5-for-8 from deep and almost dropped a double-double with 31 points and nine boards. Johnson has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Julian Glenewinkel, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Southwest DeKalb over Marist in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. The Panthers enjoyed a cozy 62-44 win over the War Eagles.

Tucker's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Southwest DeKalb, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.

Tucker didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Southwest DeKalb when the teams last played back in February, but they still walked away with a 51-46 victory.
