After flying high against Bovina last Saturday, Stratford came back down to earth. The contest between the Stratford Elks and the Wildorado Mustangs didn't end well, with the Stratford Elks falling 79-64. One positive for the Elks, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Stratford lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Darius Jones, who went 6 of 11from beyond the arc en route to 22 points. Another player making a difference was Chase Lantelme, who almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, 12 boards, and 12 assists.

Stratford now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Wildorado, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

Stratford will venture away from home to square off against River Road at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wildorado, they will be taking part in a tournament against San Jacinto Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
