Soccer Recap: Sturgis' Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Sturgis took a eight-goal loss the last time they faced off against Quincy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans' defense stepped up to hand the Orioles a 1-0 shutout on Saturday. The victory was some much needed relief for Sturgis as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Sturgis' win bumped their record up to 4-8-1. As for Quincy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Coincidentally, Sturgis and Quincy will both be playing Parchment the next time they take the pitch. The Trojans will head out to face the Panthers at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Orioles will play them later in the day, at 1:00 p.m.
