Basketball Game Preview: Fellowship Christian Academy vs. Ahoskie Christian

Fellowship Christian Academy will head out on the road to challenge Ahoskie Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 20 consecutive losses dating back to last season for Fellowship Christian Academy and three for Ahoskie Christian.

Back in December of 2024, Fellowship Christian Academy had to suffer through a 61-9 loss at the hands of Pamlico Christian Academy.

Meanwhile, Ahoskie Christian ended up a good deal behind Terra Ceia Christian on Tuesday and lost 73-54. Ahoskie Christian was down 60-40 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, Ahoskie Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jaelen Rascoe posted 18 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Rascoe's evening made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Martin, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 15 points.

Even though they lost, Ahoskie Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Terra Ceia Christian only racked up seven assists.

Ahoskie Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Fellowship Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Fellowship Christian Academy was taken down by Ahoskie Christian 66-8 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Rascoe, who had 21 points in addition to six boards and six steals. Now that Fellowship Christian Academy knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
