Recap: Sierra Vista Dons vs. Workman Lobos

It was a good run, but the Sierra Vista Dons unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Workman 47-42. Sierra Vista was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Workman apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 12th.

When it comes to explaining why Sierra Vista lost, one person who can't be blamed is Anson Wei. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Wei grabbed two or more steals. Hector Vizcarra was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.

Sierra Vista's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Workman, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sierra Vista will take on Duarte at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Duarte is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Workman, they will head out on the road to challenge Nogales at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Isaac Garcia and Aaron Hernandez.
