Basketball Recap: Newark Academy Comes Up Short

Newark Academy had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Oak Knoll Royals an easy 53-33 win. The Minutemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Royals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newark Academy is headed away from home for the first time to take on West Essex at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Oak Knoll, they will head out to face off against Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
