Kennard-Dale is 0-3 against Northeastern since May of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kennard-Dale has seven straight victories, Northeastern has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Friday, Kennard-Dale needed a bit of extra time to put away Pequea Valley. They had just enough and edged out the Braves 5-4.

Taylor Rinaudo and Taryn Ashenfelter were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Rinaudo tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Ashenfelter struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. At bat, Rinaudo went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, while Ashenfelter scored a run while going 2-for-4.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Serruto, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another was Maddie Argiro, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Northeastern duked it out with Red Lion on Wednesday. The Bobcats lost 22-3 to the Lions. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bobcats have suffered against the Lions since April 21, 2015.
Kaitlyn Fauth was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Kennard-Dale's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northeastern, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Northeastern's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Kennard-Dale has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 13 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Northeastern, though, as they've been averaging only 1.5 strikeouts. Will Kennard-Dale keep running through batters, or will the Bobcats buck the trend?
Kennard-Dale suffered a grim 12-5 defeat to Northeastern in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Rams have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
