Volleyball Game Preview: Fairfield Union Falcons vs. Circleville Tigers

Fairfield Union hasn't had much luck against Circleville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Falcons will challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

Fairfield Union came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Bloom-Carroll. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Falcons have suffered since September 11th.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-4, 25-5.

Meanwhile, Circleville entered their tilt with Liberty Union on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Lions 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19, 25-11.

Fairfield Union's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Circleville, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Fairfield Union has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 5.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Circleville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.9 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
