Football Game Preview: Wahpeton Huskies vs. Kindred Vikings

The Wahpeton Huskies will head out to face off against the Kindred Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wahpeton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with eight straight losses, while Kindred will come in with seven straight wins.

On Friday, Wahpeton took a blow against Red River, falling 55-26.

Meanwhile, Kindred faced Grand Forks Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 27-7 margin over the Knights. Those 27 points were actually the fewest the Vikings have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Wahpeton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Kindred, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.

Wahpeton took a serious blow against Kindred when the teams last played back in August of 2024, falling 50-12. Thankfully for the Huskies, Kylan Swenson (who rushed for 172 yards and three scores on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
