Soccer Game Preview: Riverheads vs. Stuarts Draft

Riverheads is 0-9-1 against Stuarts Draft since June of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Gladiators will be playing at home against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Riverheads has given up an average of 6 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Riverheads' offense. They lost 8-0 to Waynesboro on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Riverheads can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Waynesboro are ranked 49th).

Meanwhile, Stuarts Draft came up short against Wilson Memorial on Friday and fell 4-2.

Jaime Loya wasn't going to let the Hornets walk away unscathed as he scored both of the Cougars' goals, bringing his season total up to 20 goals.

Riverheads' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Stuarts Draft, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
