Football Recap: Dixon Piles Up the Points Against Beddingfield + How To Watch

Dixon had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 51-point drubbing they dealt Beddingfield on Thursday. The Bulldogs blew past the Bruins 57-6. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-6.

JJ Gulat went supernova, rushing for 288 yards and three scores while picking up 16.9 yards per carry. Those 288 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Shondel Parker, who rushed for 77 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dixon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 489 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 162 rushing yards in 12 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Dixon's record now sits at 2-0. As for Beddingfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
