Basketball Recap: Chilton County Takes a Loss

Chilton County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 63-26 loss at the hands of the Wetumpka Indians. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-16.

Wetumpka got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aaliyah Humphrey out in front who went 6 for 10 on her way to 16 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Humphrey is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Logan Banks, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 boards.

Chilton County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Wetumpka, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Chilton County and Jemison will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Wetumpka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
