Baseball Recap: Southern Huntingdon County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Forbes Road last Thursday, Southern Huntingdon County came back down to earth. Southern Huntingdon County came up short against the Williamsburg Blue Pirates on Saturday, falling 11-4. If the Rockets were looking for revenge after losing 10-4 to the Blue Pirates when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Southern Huntingdon County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bronson Hoffman, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Another was Lucas Creswell, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Southern Huntingdon County's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Williamsburg, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Southern Huntingdon County will head out to face off against Fannett Metal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fannett Metal's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Southern Huntingdon County's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Williamsburg, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Claysburg-Kimmel at 4:30 p.m.
