Softball Recap: Bishop Union Find Success

Bishop Union proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Kern Valley Broncs 7-6. This was payback for the Broncos, who suffered an 18-6 loss the last time these two teams met.

Cambrie Lanphear was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Beall, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Bishop Union now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Kern Valley, they dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Bishop Union will head out to challenge Frazier Mountain at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kern Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Boron at 3:00 p.m. on March 28th.
