Basketball Recap: Forest Lake Takes a Loss

Forest Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 86-72 to the Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders. The Rangers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Cretin-Derham Hall's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Joe Mitchell, who went 10 of 20 en route to 22 points along with seven assists and seven boards. Mitchell is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ty Schlagel, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.

Forest Lake's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Cretin-Derham Hall, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Forest Lake will square off against Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cretin-Derham Hall has already played their next game (against Edina), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
