Basketball Recap: White County Comes Up Short

White County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Upperman Bees, falling 74-49. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Bees are ranked 34th).

When it comes to explaining why White County lost, don't look at Tripp Pinion. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 13 en route to 21 points. Pinion's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Sims, who posted nine points.

White County's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Upperman, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

White County has already played their next match, a 41-40 defeat against Livingston Academy on the 24th. As for Upperman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 85-51 win against Cumberland County on the 24th.
