Recap: Southeast Cyclones vs. Pine Bluffs Hornets
After flying high against the Rock River Longhorns last Saturday, the Southeast Cyclones came back down to earth. Southeast fell to Pine Bluffs 42-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southeast in their matchups with Pine Bluffs: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Southeast lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Ayden Desmond. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of TJ Moats, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Southeast has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Pine Bluffs, their win bumped their record up to 6-13.
Southeast didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 46-39 win vs. Niobrara County on the 10th. Pine Bluffs has also already played their next match, a 54-41 victory against Burns on the 10th.
