Meanwhile, Pallotti was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-55 heartbreaker at the hands of Blanche Ely.

Archbishop Spalding pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points per game. As for Pallotti, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
