Volleyball Recap: Rockwood Summit Takes a Loss

If Rockwood Summit was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Windsor on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the St. Pius X Lancers on Monday, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Falcons couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

St. Pius X was led to victory by Harper Gass and Sadie Archer. Gass had 15 digs and two assists, while Archer had eight digs and one assist. That's the most digs Gass has posted over her last seven contests.

Rockwood Summit's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 29-10-1. As for St. Pius X, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

Rockwood Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Pius X, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against West Plains on the 1st.
