Basketball Recap: Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart suffered their closest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the North Central Hurricanes by a score of 49-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered against the Hurricanes since January 27, 2015.

Sacred Heart has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for North Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-19.

Sacred Heart will face off against Catholic of Pointe Coupee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Central, they and St. Edmund will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played.
