Basketball Recap: Mckinley's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

McKinley had lost four straight headed into Wednesday's match, but Mya Taylor didn't let it get to five. The McKinley Bulldogs came out on top against the Lake Blue Streaks by a score of 54-44 on Wednesday thanks in part to Taylor, who went 9 of 19 en route to 29 points and three steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of McKinley's points.

K'Lynn Carter was another key player, putting up six points in addition to 14 boards and three blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last three games she's played.

McKinley's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.

McKinley has already played their next game (against GlenOak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lake has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Jackson.
