Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Lyman Greyhounds an easy 53-28 victory. The Eagles lost against the Greyhounds in their previous head to head back in January of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-41 score last time.

Lyman was led to victory by Samara Oldham and Asia Henry. Oldham posted 13 points, while Henry put up 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Visvalingam, who earned six points.

Trinity Christian Academy's record is now 1-7. As for Lyman, they moved to 1-10 with that win, which also ended their 23-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Calvary Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Lyman also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Lake Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
