Basketball Recap: Patton Comes Up Short

Patton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the East Rutherford Cavaliers, falling 51-30. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-19 back in January.

Faith Smith was nothing short of spectacular for East Rutherford: she posted 19 points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. With that strong performance, Smith is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Bella Harris, who earned ten points.

Patton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for East Rutherford, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-12.

Patton has already played their next contest, a 39-31 loss against R-S Central on the 4th. As for East Rutherford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-35 defeat against Hendersonville on the 4th.
