A Season-Best Effort from Gabe Fields Leads Central over Excelsior Springs

Gabe Fields produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Central to the win on Friday. Fields rushed for 474 yards and eight touchdowns while picking up 24.9 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (131.9). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.

With the victory, Central broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4. Fields and Central will welcome Park Hill South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Jaxon Hicks Goes Supernova in Liberty Victory

Jaxon Hicks continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his eighth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least 114 rushing yards. He rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns, and also picked up 42 receiving yards and a touchdown. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.

For the year, Hicks has run in 21 touchdowns while averaging 201.5 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 86.5 rushing yards per game.

Another Liberty player making an appearance on this list is Connor Hatfield. He threw for 86 yards and a touchdown.
