Leavenworth has gone 8-2 against Turner recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The PIONEERS will be playing at home against the Golden Bears at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Leavenworth has three straight wins, Turner has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Leavenworth made easy work of Basehor-Linwood and carried off a 7-1 victory. Considering the PIONEERS have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Leavenworth's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Frankie Giamalva, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Pierce Gray was another, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Leavenworth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Meanwhile, Turner came up short against Piper on Thursday and fell 5-2.

Leavenworth pushed their record up to 10-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Turner, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-18.

Leavenworth skirted past Turner 1-0 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Do the PIONEERS have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
