Baseball Recap: Kingman Academy Takes a Loss

If Kingman Academy was riding high fresh off their 18-0 takedown of Mountainside last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the North Valley Christian Academy Lions by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since March 24th.

Dustin Sealy was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He struck out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Sealy wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Pax McFadyen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Kingman Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12-1. As for North Valley Christian Academy, their record is now 9-15-1.

Kingman Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they will welcome Pima at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
