Softball Recap: Jensen Beach Drops Season-High Score on Lincoln Park Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jensen Beach). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds a 17-0 shutout on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Falcons with their most commanding win of the season.

Cali Mendenhall was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Four bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Santiago, who scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Jensen Beach hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Jensen Beach's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-4-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Jensen Beach and South Fork will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field one another at 6:00 p.m. on March 25th. Lincoln Park Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Treasure Coast at 6:00 p.m. on March 26th.
