Baseball Recap: Cotulla Takes a Loss

After soaring to 25 runs the game before, Cotulla was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 17-2 to the Hondo Owls. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cowboys of the 7-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Cotulla saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Frank Torres, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Cotulla's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1. As for Hondo, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4-1.

Cotulla has already played their next contest, a 22-1 loss against Lytle on the 8th. As for Hondo, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-0 victory against Dilley on the 8th.
