Bernards fell victim to Metuchen and their airtight pitching crew on Sunday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 7-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Mountaineers were not able to get on the board.

Bernards moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Metuchen, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bernards will square off against Delaware Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Metuchen, they will take on North Plainfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 1, the Canucks 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
