Soccer Recap: St. Teresa's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Teresa's game on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Taylorville Tornadoes. That's two games straight that St. Teresa have won by just one goal.

The victory was the third in a row for St. Teresa, bringing their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matchups. As for Taylorville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Teresa will take on St. Thomas More at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Thomas More will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something St. Teresa surely won't give up without a fight. As for Taylorville, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Unity Christian/Argenta Oreana/Decatur Christian at 10:00 a.m. on the 12th.
