Football Recap: Meadowbrook Comes Up Short

After soaring to 49 points the game before, Meadowbrook was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a blow against the New Lexington Panthers, falling 49-6. The Colts have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Michael Ray threw for 84 yards and one touchdown. Braylon Lowery was his top target, picking up 39 receiving yards and one TD.

Paul Stenson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 154 yards and three scores on only 12 carries for New Lexington. Stenson's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.

Meadowbrook's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for New Lexington, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Meadowbrook has already played their next contest, a 34-26 victory against Maysville on the 17th. As for New Lexington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 45-6 win against Crooksville on the 17th.
