Pacelli and Adams-Friendship are an even 3-3 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cardinals will challenge the Green Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Pacelli will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Pacelli is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Almond-Bancroft 23-1 on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Cardinals with their most commanding win of the season.

Keltin Opper looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Braeden Flaker and Malise Beduhn did most of the damage at the plate: Flaker went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Beduhn went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those RBI were Flaker's first of the season. Eric Reincke was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Pacelli always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Adams-Friendship might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Wautoma who claimed the real prize. The Green Devils fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 4-3. The Green Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pacelli pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Adams-Friendship, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Pacelli's way against Adams-Friendship in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Pacelli made off with a 13-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
