Basketball Recap: Luigi Borio Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Park Vista

North Broward Prep had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Park Vista Cobras by a score of 70-61 on Friday.

North Broward Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luigi Borio, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Those 19 points gave Borio a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Samuel Cano, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 16 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds.

North Broward Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Park Vista only racked up six assists.

When it comes to explaining why Park Vista lost, don't look at Trenten Watkins. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 16 en route to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Burke, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points.

North Broward Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Park Vista, they moved to 10-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

North Broward Prep has already played their next contest, a 64-43 win against Fort Lauderdale on the 18th. As for Park Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 71-46 victory against Centennial on the 20th.
