Basketball Recap: Yuma Catholic Shamrocks vs. Seton Catholic Sentinels
Yuma Catholic unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Seton Catholic Sentinels by a score of 57-54 on Tuesday. The Shamrocks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sentinels apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.
Kj Fauske was nothing short of spectacular for Seton Catholic: he shot 44% from the field en route to 25 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That's the most boards Fauske has posted since back in January. Ryan Morris was another key player, putting up 12 points and six rebounds.
Seton Catholic has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Looking ahead, Yuma Catholic will face off against Tonopah Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Shamrocks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Seton Catholic, they will be taking part in a tournament against Desert Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
