Soccer Game Preview: Newfield vs. Union Springs

The Newfield Trojans will square off against the Union Springs Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Newfield is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals on Monday, they were much more limited against Marathon on Friday. They came up short against the Olympians, falling 6-0. Newfield haven't had much luck with Marathon recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Union Springs lost 6-1 to Watkins Glen on Wednesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Union Springs were already down 4-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Ian Ellis, who's now up to three this season.

Union Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Newfield, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
