Baseball Recap: Haskell Takes a Loss

Haskell was the 9-2 winner over Hulbert when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Haymakers took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Riders on Tuesday.

Haskell saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Neal, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Neal is becoming a predictor of the Haymakers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't). JJ Bonebrake also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Haskell's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hulbert, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Haskell will take on Cascia Hall at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hulbert, they will face off against Porter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
